Cherry-Lime Stirfry, Dumpling, and Noodle Dressing

Here is a new stirfry sauce, dumpling dipping sauce, and noodle dressing option! A triple-threat of tasty tiddles!!! I had the bright idea of taking some of that Cherry-Fig BBQ sauce and transforming it into something else. Something unique, colorful, and downright freaking delicious. The sauce itself left me wanting to do something very special. Where January is Lunar New Year, I went nuts with this, and the effort paid off in a way that knocked our socks off! Can you imagine a sauce that not only works as a stir-fry sauce, but also a dumpling dipping sauce, AND a noodle bowl dressing? In my original Cherry-Fig BBQ sauce post, I'm using two amazing New Hampshire-made items in this: Cathedral Ledge Distillery's Fig Flavored Vodka, and Mad Russian Apothecary Raw Honey. The only way to accomplish this secondary sauce offering, you need to make my Cherry-Fig BBQ sauce first as this needs it as a base to work with. If you cannot purchase the liquor due to current US State regulations, see if you can locate a fig-flavored vodka at your favorite liquor store (or as we call it, "the packie"!

Blending spices into the Cherry-Fig BBQ sauce
Dried spices go into the cherry base.

INGREDIENTS:

6oz tamari or soy sauce 4oz rice vinegar

4oz Mad Russian Apothecary raw honey 1/2-1 Lime, freshly squeezed 1/2 Granny smith apple, finely diced 6 Scallions, fine chopped

1.) Into a mixing bowl, add your Cherry-Fig BBQ sauce. Start with 1/3 C. If you want more, do not use more than 1/2 C. Add your rice vinegar - mix well. 2.) Add your apple to the bowl and mix well.

3.) Add your freshly squeezed lime juice. Do NOT use the commercial lime juice product. You will ruin the profile.

4.) Add your honey - make sure to mix this well. This needs to dissolve into your sauce.

5.) Add your tamari and mix well. It is very important to taste-test this. Make adjustments to your own preferences.

6.) Add your scallions and mix well.

This is a fantastic pairing for smoked meats, dressing an Asian noodle or rice bowl, and of course, dumplings for dipping sauce!
