Repurposing Leftovers

There is no denying that when it comes to the holidays, the spread is huge and there is just so much left-over. I am not going to lie, I want more than just turkey sandwiches, soups, stews, casseroles, blah blah blah. I want something different! And, every year, we shake things up and there always happens to be ZERO waste. That's right - ZERO! It's definitely a great way to approach leftovers in a different way. Here are some great suggestions when it comes to Thanksgiving leftovers:

Turkey + Vegetables Soups like minestrone, stew, chili, homemade Asian dumplings and also consider adding to an omelet or egg scramble Mashed Potatoes Homemade Gnocci, use for making potato cakes, add to ground meat for meatloaf, soup base thickener or homemade tater-tots!

Bread-based Stuffing Break out the waffle iron and see what crispy-edged awesomeness can be achieved! Use as a filler for casserole-making.

Cranberry Sauce Make a homemade dipping sauce, BBQ sauce, vinaigrettes, make yogurt pops, mixed cocktail-making

Dinner Rolls Homemade croutons and/or breadcrumbs work well! Use for making sliders! For sweet or savory bread pudding

Gravy Imagine using this as a soup base starter! Cook up some pasta, toss in some of that leftover turkey and vegetables for a whole new take! Or simply freeze the leftover gravy for another night!

Sweet Potatoes Homemade Gnocci, use for making sweet potato cakes, add to ground meat for meatloaf, soup base thickener or homemade tater-tots! Consider a new take on breakfast hash by adding some shredded turkey, a few spices and grill/pan-fry this up with a little butter, kosher salt and black pepper!
