Breaking Ground, Developments, etc.

So, we are just a few weeks in, and so far, I am enjoying the beginning stages of this endeavor, fast developments, and breaking ground on both feet. Working full-time, squeezing in the business in between, and finding time to remember to breathe is, of course, a challenge. But that was expected anyway. Ultimately, I look forward to getting this more solidified and increasing my reach with the hopes of finally getting that mobile kitchen trailer build going as soon as possible. I don't mind renting out a kitchen, I mean, I have to get started somewhere, right? But having my own kitchen will certainly make things so much easier, and I can come and go as I please when that happens.
Week 1 at the Manchester Farmer's/Maker's Market went off better than I expected! Sold multiple spice rubs and absolutely sold SEVERAL meals. Folks quickly caught on that they could purchase a meal to take home after visiting the farmers' market. I have come in with a standard meal and a vegan/vegetarian option with sides, so folks can truly get a delicious meal to go.
Having said that, there might be something in the works along those lines of meals going home. I can't get into specifics just yet, as it is such a newly-discussed adventure. However, it will be along the lines of what I did last year while working for someone else at a farmstand. I'll be taking those meals with me for the next opportunity to sell to the public.
I already have my first booking for the end of July towards a local company's summer party event! In fact, I just booked it this morning as of typing all of this to share! New and exciting opportunities are coming around the corner for a wedding for a close family friend in September, and I can hardly wait!
OK - time to drive to Restaurant Depot. Gotta plan the meals for tomorrow's Manchester Farmer's/Maker's Market! You are coming, right?
